# Trucker Digital — revision 3 photography

Researched and downloaded 12 October 2026. The six recommended originals below were inspected visually. No generated images or MIB-owned photographs are included. Originals are the full-size JPEGs served by the photographer's Pexels download link; no local retouching, cropping or color edits have been made. Dimensions, byte sizes and SHA-256 hashes are in `files.json`.

## License and presentation

All six selected photographs are marked free on their source pages and covered by the [Pexels License](https://www.pexels.com/license/). It permits website and marketing use and modification, without mandatory attribution. Retain this record and preferably credit the contributor. Do not imply an endorsement by the depicted people or businesses, use the photographs as trademarks, sell unaltered copies, or redistribute them as stock. People must not be presented offensively. The downloaded files are source assets for this website, not a stock library to redistribute.

Use these as industry photography. They are not Trucker Digital staff, customers, fleets or premises, and they are not evidence of client work. Do not place the driver portrait beside a fabricated quote, case study, or team biography. Visible carrier/manufacturer marks remain third-party marks. The provider's license was verified; individual model/property releases were not separately obtained.

## Recommended selection

### 1. Houston interchange — network-scale hero or wide service image

- File: `houston-interchange-original.jpg` — 4767 × 5959.
- Contributor: Juan Nino.
- [Photographer's source page](https://www.pexels.com/photo/aerial-view-of-flyover-roads-9824513/).
- [Original download](https://images.pexels.com/photos/9824513/pexels-photo-9824513.jpeg?cs=srgb&dl=pexels-juan-nino-3824481-9824513.jpg&fm=jpg).
- Location stated on source: Houston, Texas, United States; the source describes the I-10 interchange.
- Visual inspection: genuine aerial perspective, layered concrete ramps, long freeway axis and vehicles. Portrait original; the road network occupies the lower half. For a wide hero, crop toward the lower half instead of centering on the sky. At a 2.4:1 crop, begin around `object-position: 50% 77%` and inspect at the final viewport.
- Suggested alt text: “Aerial view of Houston's I-10 freeway interchange.”
- Limitation: trucks are small within the wider traffic scene. Combine with a closer trucking photograph elsewhere, rather than relying on this to identify the niche by itself.

### 2. Dallas interchange — portrait service panel

- File: `dallas-interchange-original.jpg` — 2514 × 3987.
- Contributor: Savya Kapudasi.
- [Photographer's source page](https://www.pexels.com/photo/aerial-view-of-urban-highway-interchange-31338548/).
- [Original download](https://images.pexels.com/photos/31338548/pexels-photo-31338548.jpeg?cs=srgb&dl=pexels-savya-kapudasi-3245617-31338548.jpg&fm=jpg).
- Location stated on source: Dallas, United States. Recorded camera: Galaxy S25 Ultra; taken 20 March 2025.
- Visual inspection: high-angle roadway photograph with multiple curved flyovers, green verges and real vehicles including a semi. Strong geometry suited to a tall service panel or image beside concise copy; less useful as a shallow panoramic crop.
- Suggested alt text: “Vehicles passing through a multi-level freeway interchange in Dallas.”

### 3. Chattanooga conventional semis — fleet branding or services

- File: `chattanooga-semi-trucks-original.jpg` — 4963 × 2791.
- Contributor currently displayed as **K**, with the download slug `kelly` (previously displayed as Kelly).
- [Photographer's source page](https://www.pexels.com/photo/industrial-retro-style-trucks-parked-in-row-4320468/).
- [Original download](https://images.pexels.com/photos/4320468/pexels-photo-4320468.jpeg?cs=srgb&dl=pexels-kelly-4320468.jpg&fm=jpg).
- Source location: Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. Recorded camera L1D-20c; taken 5 May 2020.
- Visual inspection: real long-nose tractors in different colors, parked in a row with a forest backdrop. A useful naturally wide image for branding, fleet websites or a service panel. Preserve the trucks' tops and wheels when cropping.
- Suggested alt text: “A row of conventional semi trucks parked in Chattanooga, Tennessee.”

### 4. Nevada red semi — long-haul carrier image

- File: `nevada-red-semi-original.jpg` — 5021 × 3085.
- Contributor: Quintin Gellar.
- [Photographer's source page](https://www.pexels.com/photo/red-semi-truck-on-the-road-6563903/).
- [Original download](https://images.pexels.com/photos/6563903/pexels-photo-6563903.jpeg?cs=srgb&dl=pexels-quintingellar-6563903.jpg&fm=jpg).
- Source location: Nevada, United States. Nikon D610; taken 10 January 2018, published 21 January 2021.
- Visual inspection: a red conventional tractor and silver trailer in side profile on a desert highway. Plenty of contextual landscape, visibly photographic; the original has a warm, saturated grade. Strong for a long-haul article or wide banner, using the lower-middle portion of the frame.
- Suggested alt text: “Red tractor-trailer traveling along a Nevada desert highway.”

### 5. Arizona semis — immediately recognizable trucking context

- File: `arizona-semis-original.jpg` — 6016 × 4016.
- Contributor: Quintin Gellar.
- [Photographer's source page](https://www.pexels.com/photo/white-volvo-semi-truck-on-side-of-road-2199293/).
- [Original download](https://images.pexels.com/photos/2199293/pexels-photo-2199293.jpeg?cs=srgb&dl=pexels-quintingellar-2199293.jpg&fm=jpg).
- Source location: Arizona, United States. Nikon D610; taken 16 October 2016, published 19 April 2019.
- Visual inspection: three white semis approach a bend against woodland; closer front view makes the industry unmistakable. Retain the lead truck and curve of the roadway. Useful for the homepage, a service header or a resource image.
- Suggested alt text: “Three semi trucks rounding a highway bend in Arizona.”
- Limitation: popular stock image, so prefer the less-common Chattanooga or interchange assets for the main visual identity if a distinctive composition matters more.

### 6. Driver beside truck — human industry context

- File: `us-driver-beside-truck-original.jpg` — 6000 × 4000.
- Contributor: World Sikh Organization of Canada.
- [Contributor's source page](https://www.pexels.com/photo/man-by-truck-14797994/).
- [Original download](https://images.pexels.com/photos/14797994/pexels-photo-14797994.jpeg?cs=srgb&dl=pexels-worldsikhorg-14797994.jpg&fm=jpg).
- Source location explicitly says USA. Sony ILCE-7M3; taken 25 July 2022, published 17 December 2022. The contributor is Canadian; that is not the stated shooting location.
- Visual inspection: a driver wearing a safety vest stands beside a white North American Volvo conventional tractor. The truck visibly identifies **Puri Bros Trucking Ltd**, and the person is identifiable. This is a portrait, not a candid computer-work scene.
- Suggested alt text: “Truck driver in a safety vest standing beside a white semi truck.”
- Use only as illustrative industry photography with no implied affiliation. A nearby unobtrusive photo credit is appropriate. Do not call the subject an owner-operator: ownership is not verified. Do not use in a team or customer-results section.

## Other downloaded candidates — not part of the six-image selection

| File | Contributor / source | Decision |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `freeway-aerial-original.jpg` | Kindel Media — [Pexels 9716234](https://www.pexels.com/photo/aerial-photography-of-vehicles-on-freeway-9716234/) | Strong 4000 × 3000 overhead composition with semi trucks. Commercial license verified, exact U.S. location not established on this photo's page. Road markings and vehicles are consistent with North America; do not convert that inference into a verified location. Keep as an alternate. |
| `blue-semi-highway-original.jpg` | Tom Jackson — [Pexels 27099096](https://www.pexels.com/photo/photo-of-a-truck-driving-on-the-road-27099096/) | Licensed, real photographic camera metadata. Good truck image, but country unconfirmed and vehicle combination could be outside the U.S.; exclude from the U.S.-verified shortlist. |
| `calneva-aerial-trucks-original.jpg` | Tom Shamberger — [Pexels 24836837](https://www.pexels.com/photo/trucks-on-road-in-countryside-24836837/) | Source states Calneva, California, U.S. Real aerial with dump trucks at rural roadworks. Relevant to specialized carriers but less suitable for general freight positioning. |
| `nc-warehouse-trailer-original.jpg` | Mark Stebnicki — [Pexels 5876475](https://www.pexels.com/photo/truck-with-red-trailer-near-warehouse-5876475/) | Source states North Carolina, U.S. Recorded camera: Canon EOS 90D; taken November 2020. Real specialist bulk/cotton truck at an industrial shed, with a visible USDOT number. Too specific and visually busy for the primary design; optional article context. |
| `driver-candid-bw-original.jpg` | Mark Stebnicki — [Pexels 21711145](https://www.pexels.com/photo/black-and-white-candid-photo-of-a-truck-driver-21711145/) | Real 2024 Sony ILCE-1 photograph with a driver's silhouette, but cab looks agricultural and country not stated. Exclude from the trucking-specific selection. |

## Audience findings retained for the redesign

The [ATA industry facts page](https://www.trucking.org/economics-and-industry-data) reports that 91.5% of active U.S. motor carriers operating tractors had ten or fewer trucks in the June 2025 USDOT data it cites. Design inference: owner-operators and small fleet businesses should understand the offer, one-time cost, monthly cost, scope and next action quickly.

Primary usability evidence supports concrete company information, professional execution, straightforward contact access, familiar navigation and clear content: [Stanford credibility guidelines](https://credibility.stanford.edu/guidelines/index.html), [Nielsen Norman Group B2B usability](https://www.nngroup.com/articles/b2b-usability/), and [NNG trustworthy design](https://www.nngroup.com/articles/trustworthy-design/). These are general credibility/usability findings, not a controlled trucking-specific design study.

Practical implication: keep web design, hosting, care, email, branding and marketing easy to find; make setup and ongoing charges explicit; use the trucking images to establish relevance; offer a short contact route and usable mobile controls. [WCAG 2.2 target-size guidance](https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG22/Understanding/target-size-minimum) supports generous, separated interactive targets. Do not claim that a palette, photograph or layout will increase sales without measurement.
