The business behind the brief

Redwood Lane Freight is a fictional regional carrier serving manufacturers, distributors and freight partners with dry van transport.

The design brief

Give a regional carrier a distinct identity without making the site difficult to use. Put the freight service, lane information and quote route where a shipping customer would expect to find them.

What we designed

  • Created a bespoke geometric R mark with warm ivory, oxblood and brick-red brand colors.
  • Designed a wide editorial opening and a carefully cropped Nevada freight panorama.
  • Built a lane planner that transfers pickup and destination into the quote form.
  • Combined expandable freight details with a responsive inquiry and clear booking limitations.
Mobile version of Redwood Lane Freight

Built for the small screen, too.

Readable service information, a usable menu and an inquiry form that works on a phone.

The finished work

A regional dry van carrier website concept with a route-planning interface, sample quote inquiry and desktop and mobile layouts. The design illustrates how pickup and destination details could carry into an inquiry, helping a customer describe a shipment without implying that a freight booking has been made.

This is a demonstration of our design work, not a client endorsement. Sample forms do not submit or book freight. Industry photographs are used illustratively.
