Free website checker

Check the parts of your website that commonly cause problems with accessibility, speed and search visibility. Our free tools give you practical results without requiring an account or email address.

Three website checks you can run for free

A useful website health check should show you what is happening rather than simply produce a score. Choose the check that matches the problem you are investigating, or run all three for a broader view of the site.

  • Website speed test: runs Google Lighthouse on the page and highlights performance problems, including loading, layout stability and JavaScript work.
  • Website accessibility checker: uses axe-core to identify accessibility issues that can be detected automatically and maps findings to relevant WCAG rules.
  • SEO checker: reviews important on-page and technical signals including titles, headings, canonicals, structured data, robots.txt and XML sitemaps.

Use a website checker to diagnose, not guess

Website problems often have symptoms rather than obvious causes. A slow page may be carrying oversized images, third-party scripts or render-blocking resources. An accessibility problem may sit inside a form label, colour combination or ARIA implementation. Search problems can start with something as basic as a missing canonical or a blocked page.

Running the relevant checker gives you evidence to work from. That matters when deciding whether a problem needs a content change, a code fix, a plugin adjustment or work at hosting level.

What a website health check cannot tell you

Automated tests are useful, but none of these tools should be treated as a complete audit. Lighthouse is a laboratory performance test and can differ from real-user Core Web Vitals data. Automated accessibility testing cannot assess every WCAG requirement or decide whether an interface is genuinely usable with assistive technology. A single-page SEO check cannot reveal every indexing, internal linking, content or backlink issue across a whole site.

Use the result as a diagnostic starting point. If a problem appears repeatedly across templates or important landing pages, a wider technical review is usually more useful than fixing isolated symptoms.

Read the result in context

Prioritise findings that affect real users or prevent search engines from accessing important content. Several small warnings can matter less than one serious problem, such as an inaccessible form control, a very slow largest content element or an accidental noindex directive.

Google recommends creating useful, people-first pages and making important links crawlable rather than optimising for a single score. The checkers are therefore designed to support investigation, not replace judgement about the site as a whole.

Common questions

Answers to the questions we hear most about this.

Is the website checker free?

Yes. The accessibility, speed and SEO checkers are free to use and you do not need an account or email address to view the results.

Which website checker should I run first?

Start with the problem you are trying to solve. Use the speed checker for slow pages, the accessibility checker for WCAG-related issues and the SEO checker for on-page and technical search signals. Running all three gives a broader health check.

Does a good score mean my website has no problems?

No. Automated tools only measure what their tests are designed to detect. Manual accessibility testing, real-user performance data and site-wide SEO analysis can reveal issues that a single automated check cannot.

Can I check more than one page?

Yes. Test individual URLs separately. This is particularly useful for comparing different templates such as the homepage, service pages, product pages and contact pages.
