CVE-2026-94421, 10 Oct 2026
The Church Admin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'email' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.1.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
CVE-2026-0682, 17 Jan 2026
The Church Admin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 5.0.28 due to insufficient validation of user-supplied URLs in the 'audio_url' parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access, to make web requests to arbitrary locations originating from the web application and can be used to query and modify information from internal services. CVE record
CVE-2022-0833, 28 Mar 2022
The Church Admin WordPress plugin before 3.4.135 does not have authorisation and CSRF in some of its action as well as requested files, allowing unauthenticated attackers to repeatedly request the "refresh-backup" action, and simultaneously keep requesting a publicly accessible temporary file generated by the plugin in order to disclose the final backup filename, which can then be fetched by the attacker to download the backup of the plugin's DB data CVE record
CVE-2018-20971, 16 Aug 2019
The church-admin plugin before 1.2550 for WordPress has CSRF affecting the upload of a bible reading plan. CVE record
CVE-2015-4127, 28 May 2015
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the church_admin plugin before 0.810 for WordPress allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the address parameter, as demonstrated by a request to index.php/2015/05/21/church_admin-registration-form/. CVE record

What to do if you run Church Admin

If you run Church Admin, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.

If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
