- CVE-2026-96667, 10 Oct 2026
- The Real Estate Manager - Property Listing and Agent Management plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'first_name' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 7.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The reCAPTCHA check is trivially bypassed by omitting the g-recaptcha-response parameter entirely, since validation only runs when that parameter is present. CVE record
- CVE-2026-93908, 30 Sep 2026
- The Real Estate Manager - Property Listing and Agent Management plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'before_price_text' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 7.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability is further enabled by the absence of any capability, nonce, or ownership check on the wp_ajax_rem_create_pro_ajax handler, and because the value is persisted via update_post_meta rather than post_content, the wp_kses filtering tied to the unfiltered_html capability does not apply. - CVE-2023-4239, 9 Aug 2023
- The Real Estate Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in versions up to, and including, 7.2 due to insufficient restriction on the 'rem_save_profile_front' function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with minimal permissions such as a subscriber, to modify their user role by supplying the 'wp_capabilities' parameter during a profile update. What to do if you run Real Estate Manager
If you run Real Estate Manager, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.
If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
